    A Christmas collection with colour, character and a touch of folk-art magic

    The Deck The Halls Collection by Geetanjali Behera for Thread & Ink Designs is Christmas fabric with a wonderfully different point of view. Traditional festive favourites are all here: decorated trees, baubles, stockings, reindeer, winter foliage and poinsettias, but they are joined by rabbits, birds, stylised florals and playful folk-art details in a palette that reaches well beyond conventional Christmas red and green.

    Rich teal and warm red sit alongside raspberry pink, coral, mustard, fresh green and cream, giving the collection its distinctive character. Some prints are wonderfully abundant, filled with florals, woodland creatures and tiny details to discover, while others offer smaller scattered motifs or more open designs that are easy to use throughout a patchwork project. Together, they create a collection that feels festive and joyful without becoming overly traditional.

    For quilts, try combining the larger feature prints with the smaller-scale designs, then introduce coordinating blenders to give the more detailed fabrics room to shine.
