Matilda's Own 100% Bamboo
Bamboo Wadding for Softness and Breathability
Matilda’s Own 100% Bamboo Wadding is an excellent choice for quilters looking for a soft, lightweight and breathable wadding. Made from 100% bamboo-derived fibre, it has a smooth, silky feel that gives finished quilts a beautifully soft drape while still providing gentle warmth. It is also a great choice for those with allergies.
This wadding is needle-punched with a fine scrim to help prevent bearding and provide durability. It has an approximate loft of ⅛+ inch (3mm), a maximum stitch distance of 10" (25.4cm), and a low residual shrinkage of approximately 2.5%. Its softness and breathability make it well suited to year-round quilts and lightweight bedding, and a beautifully soft choice for quilts created for new babies.
Matilda’s Own 100% Bamboo Wadding is available in two options:
- Cut to length in half-metre increments for custom sizing
- Pre-cut baby size (48" x 60"), ideal for cot quilts, lap quilts, and small throws
