Scrim-Free Bamboo Blend Wadding with a Higher Loft, Cut to Length in ½ Metre Increments
Matilda's Own 70/30 Bamboo & Polyester Quilt Wadding combines 70% bamboo-derived fibre with 30% polyester in a soft, scrim-free wadding with a higher loft than the 100% Bamboo and Bamboo/Cotton options. Made in Australia, it offers beautiful drape with a little more lift and definition in the finished quilt.
With no scrim, glues or other binders, there is less resistance as you stitch, allowing the needle to pass smoothly through the fine, even wadding. This makes it lovely to work with for both hand and machine quilting, particularly if you prefer the feel of a scrim-free wadding.
The addition of polyester gives this blend increased loft, creating more dimension between quilting lines while retaining the softness and drape associated with bamboo wadding. It is a good choice for quilts where you'd like a slightly fuller appearance without moving to a very bulky wadding.
At approximately 2.4 metres (94") wide, this wadding is sold cut to length in ½ metre increments, allowing you to order just what you need for your project. Its generous width makes it suitable for everything from smaller quilts and throws through to larger bed quilts.
Your wadding is cut to length in our Hove studio and carefully prepared for dispatch. All Morris Works cut-to-length wadding is sent in plastic-free packaging, so you can order just what your project requires without unnecessary plastic packaging.

Care & Usage Tips
- Shrinkage: 2.5%
- Maximum Stitch Distance: 8" (20 cm)
- Higher loft than Matilda's Own 100% Bamboo and Bamboo/Cotton waddings
- Scrim-free construction with no glues or other binders
- Suitable for both hand quilting and machine quilting
- Prewash not required. Recommended to wash in cold or cool water. Air drying is recommended, though a finished quilted item can be tumble dried on a cool setting.
